The hotel has a wonderful open and warm atmosphere. It felt alive and welcoming although we were the only guests. Fabulous service - the hotel staff were unable to contact us during our journey so the cook stayed until we arrived to see if we wanted supper. The castle has a fascinating history and is an inspiring cultural project. It was a shame we were travelling though and could only stay one night.

A little out of the centre but well worth a short walk. This is a beautifully renovated and decorated building. Facilities were wonderful, the breakfast tasty. Highly recommended.

Helpful staff, good private parking, excellent breakfast and lovely, newly renovated rooms. Hotel was full of guest, but you could not hear any due to very good isolated rooms. Had a great stay.

Just perfect! Nice little town. Cozy hotel with the small things you appreciate. Like Coffee maskin on the room. Pleasant service. Big room with nice beds. Really good breakfast and the restaurant beside the hotel was just perfect. Own parking spot in the backyard. I love to come back with my wife in the summertime 😉🙏🏻

Exceptional breakfast! Unlike buffet offered in 99% of hotels nowadays, it is served at the individual tables for each guest. I don’t know any person who is able to eat it all. Additionally, stuff is happy to fulfil your extra dietary wishes (for free!). Add extremely friendly stuff, great location, warm rooms (what mattered a lot in a cold winter day) and you get Stadtschloß Hecklingen. Fantastic place!
