Great location on the Moselle River.
Great location on the Moselle River. Good for hiking and biking along the river or through the vineyards. But it lacks the picturesque looks of some of the more famous Moselle towns. Although it is much much quieter if you want to avoid the crowds. Close enough to historic Trier which is easily rachable bicycle or car. Mehring is a little village at the Mosel river with an ancient Roman villa, catholic church, a few restaurants and little shops. There also are a bakery, small supermarket, and off course: a lot of wine shops. Cute town with some restaurants and bars.
Cute town with some restaurants and bars. It has a supermarket with a bakery inside but the town has its own bakery as well. All in all a nice quiet little town. You do need a bike or car to get to sightseeing places. In the direct vicinity there are some Roman ruins. The aparthotel only has 10 appartments so it is quiet - great to relax. The wine in the room is really good! Appreciated the complementary mineral water bottles as well.
