Loved the room, and the location. Our room was just across from a small river and the sound of the stream was very nice. The room had a balcony overlooking the stream as well. Room was very comfortable and clean. The owners and staff were the nicest and friendliest people I have ever met on my many years of travel…they were wonderful and made us feel like family. Breakfast was included and was delicious with a great selection. Location was five minute walk to the old town center. Wonderful stay!

The beds were super comfy and the beddings was great (even with a cookie!)! It's very nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. Great towels and amenities, easy check-in procedure, very responsive in communications (even What's App) and well organized. Very friendly and everything was spotless! We had a lovely stay in Villa Burgau, we were welcomed in the most friendly manner and had a wonderful breakfast. The Villa is located a 5min walk from the central market in Monschau and it's very easy to park your car close to the villa. The bed was very comfortable, and we had a small but decent bathroom. Would definitely go back and recommend it to everyone visiting Monschau.

It is a beautiful historical city, great for visiting! The best points are: 1. the glass blowing workshop, where YOU can also blow your own vase! 2. the city itself, which is totally cute 3. the red house, a great museum about the rich textile background of the city 4. the mustard mill (next to the ACHAT hotel) 5. the Nazi school, such an important historical piece, close to Monschau, at the entrance of the Eifel park, a total must see!

Tiny beautiful town, cozy feeling, friendly people & good food, definitly recommend for dinner: •Am Haller: old style cozy place with good german food and friendly staff. Please note you can only pay with cash here. •Kafe Kaulard: perfect for a nice breakfast/brunch, located in the center with great views; also they have amazing cakes (didnt try but they looked amazing and lots of people came for the cake while we had brunch) You can easily walk through the whole town and some hiking paths close by. Only minus point would be that many places dont accept paying with card but cash only, if you need to go to a cashmachine, its 5km way all up hill.. For the rest super place to scape for a weekend

If you are going to the small town and christmas market, it can be visited in a full day. We arrived on a Sunday when the christmas market was active, but the very next day, everything was closed. There is only a few cafes and restaurants open so if you do not go for a walk/hike, there isn't much else to do in Dec during weekdays.

Monschau is a quaint medievel town which is lovely to explore. We went to the glass-blowing exhibit and even did our own glass-blowing - definately worth the visit. We also took the electric tourist train which is well worth the experience.

Monschau is a postcard perfect small town in a gully.

Monschau is a postcard perfect small town in a gully. There are some hilly roads in and out and about. The architecture is lovely, the presentation of the houses almost too shiny and pretty. A stream flows through alongside cobblestoned winding streets. Great for photos. Plenty of places to eat and drink. FULL of tourists.

Monschau is a hidden gem with lots of character. It is a very historic place with artistic connections too. It is easy to walk round but possibly not if you have mobility issues. Everything is very close and the place we ate was outstanding.

A very spacious and light filled apartment facing one of the bigger squares of the this little town. The bed was very comfy and the bedroom window faces the creek, which was nice and calm. The kitchen was well equipped and the seating at the table was lovely. Almost too big for one person, still very large for two, very generous space. Staff was very helpful to show me where to store my bike - which was a short walk away and some steps up from the Hotel.

We've booked the accomodation to extend our holiday in the Eifel with an extra day. We enjoyed the room, which is very new. The little hotel also offers a common room downstairs. We liked the warm welcome by the owner and of course the breakfast. The hotel is located in Kalterherberg, only a short drive to Monschau. Very good value for money!
