The location is great, the breakfast was very good, the room was clean, cozy, comfortable... but what is standing out is the exceptionally welcoming and friendly attitude of the two owners - you feel treated as a very special guest from the beginning till the end of your visit. We were satisfied with the room at the Hotel Boutique Canel. It is suitably large and solidly equipped. The only comment is that the mattresses are a bit too soft, but still comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. Mineral water was available, as well as a coffee and tea machine. The bathroom is big. Check in and check out was quick. The staff at the reception are friendly and helpful with information. The hotel does not have a parking lot, which I was informed about at the time of booking, but there is an underground garage nearby.

Very good position and prices, considering the area, easy to reach for outside parkings and very welcoming to dogs. Moquette could be a little more tidier but no big deal. Bathroom was very clean

The room was comfortable and modern, location is good easy to get in and out with a car and parking is right under the hotel. The reception staff were super friendly and lovely to deal with. Short scenic walk along the river into town.

Super-friendly receptionist (Frau Niemeyer or Niemann? - sorry, I am not completely sure now... apologies), who helped us choose between parking options, and even reserved for us a dinner table at a restaurant in the old town. Free coffee in the afternoon/evening, close to the reception. Quiet rooms. Location at the foot of the Fortress Marienberg, and close to the old town on the other side of the river (connected by a beautiful historical pedestrian bridge).

The room was large and airy, but not what was written in the...

The room was large and airy, but not what was written in the advertisement. It is a bedroom with separate toilet in the hall. There is a shared kitchen 2 floors below the bedroom, but the refrigerator was not working. There is nothing to do in Waldrunn, but we found a nice little biergarten for dinner in another village. The owners were not helpful in telling us what to do or where to go.
