There are no typical old towns on the island of Gran Canaria (except Telde, Las Palmas and small Teror). Aguimes also does not have an old town where you can walk for a long time. A lovely old town, with narrow winding streets and many...
A lovely old town, with narrow winding streets and many attractive statues. You need to park away from the centre and walk in. Nice cafes on Plaza del Rosario by the church, and on Plaza San Anton. Excellent historical museum. Approach roads from all directions quite winding: drive slowly and ignore the person nuzzling your exhaust pipe. Rather limited shops, but several supermarkets.
