The city was physically beautiful and fun for walking around. We stayed for 2 nights. However, the people working in the city were generally NOT welcoming to tourists. We talked with some local people and they said that a lot of locals do not care to be welcoming to tourists. We have been traveling all over Spain for a month (are fluent in Spanish) and this was the first place that we did not feel welcome. We recommend going to Albarracín to see the city, but don't expect a super welcoming vibe in the restaurants and shops. If you do get it, it is a bonus! Beautiful old town to wander around.

A beautiful atmospheric old town,barely any street lights on the Thursday night but noticed they were on on the Friday, perhaps the town comes to life at the weekend. Enjoyed exploring and climbing up to the ramparts to take in the amazing views. Found a cosy little bar La Dispensa, that served lovely food at very reasonable prices. The hotel is in a great location to access the town and has free private parking. Nice big double bed room with plenty of space. However there was no restaurant in the hotel and the staff were not that friendly. They only speak Spanish. First of all try to get the parking meters in the main carpark to work. We were tutting at people who seemed to take ages until it was our turn. They are ridiculous to operate. The location of the hotel is excellent, close to the bars and restaurants. The member of staff that checked us in was great, he escorted us to our room and made sure everything was OK before leaving us. The hotel had lovely communal areas to sit in and relax and the room was a comfortable size with a large ensuite.
