A beautiful bay.
A beautiful bay. So quiet this time of year (before half term). Supermarkets close by. 40 minute bus trip into Mahon and from there to most other points on the island. €2.75 (2024). Also bus into Fornells (via Mercadal - Monte Toro) from here too. Totally walkable resort - but very hilly and lots of steps. We loved this area.
We loved this area. A very peaceful place for a summer holiday. The beach is sandy and big and the water is very clean, the cleanest sea water I have ever seen. The other advantage is that there are no waves and the water remains clear even in the afternoon. Arenal d'en Castell is a very quite place with multiple holiday homes/hotels. The atmosphere is all about tourism and relax - few restaurants in the area are quite nice for a quick, easy and cheap dinner if staying in the area. Few supermarkets are also approachable with a small walk from any of the developments, car isn't necessary if you are not planning to travel around the area. The beach is quite big, few restaurants are accessible directly from the beach, there are sea sports facilities available and possible sunbeds renting.Guest review byAlessiaItaly - 8.0

The beach is lovely but if the weather is good there is not a lot else to do. There are no activities such as mini golf etc and shops are very touristy. It is a British focused resort.
