The whole experience was amazing! The staff was very friendly and always willing to assist the best they could. Some of the staff didn't know English but we were able to communicate very well whether using Portuguese or the translator. The cleaning is done every day, they provide you new sets of towels and supplies according to what has already been used. For a 2* hotel it is a pretty good place to stay and with excellent customer service! Definitely worth the price! We would definitely recommend and go back!

It is located in the centre of a very nice small town, great atmosphere. We have booked a stay with not only breakfast, but also a dinner and even if we arrived pretty later, it was all OK, dinner was served till 11 p.m. There was a dinner menu, but we could easily agree on vegetarian options for some of our family members. Very helpful and friendly approach of hotel staff.

    Avalle itself is a very small community, which strangely...

    Avalle itself is a very small community, which strangely seemed "suburban" because the houses were so close together yet also detached. There is very little there to interest tourists, and as far as I could see, no shops or other facilities. The main advantage of staying in Avalle is that it is more peaceful than Cangas de Onis, which is where many people stay if they want to visit the western part of the Picos de Europa national park.
