Very cozy place with a very good beach, restaurants and shops. Nothing historical near the sea (the castle is very far from the beach), but it's a very convenient town for resting. The beach was amazing, large, sandy, clean and not busy at all despite us visiting in July. We stayed on the edge of Calafell so there were not many restaurants nearby, but that was not such a problem for us as we mostly cooked our own meals. Friendly, helpful host who was very responsive to messages. Safe, quiet residential location with amenities not too far away ie beach, supermarket but would need car to access them. Lots to do for the family in the area ie go karting, calafell slide, port aventura theme park, water parks. Also loved the Roman history of Tarragona and the stunning aqueduct.
