For me one of the most important things about an albergue is the host. On this occasion the host was facing a difficult personal situation beyond his control and yet this had no negative impact on the level of service or hospitality. I was so impressed with how welcome I was made at the end of a particularly long day. I was even asked if I was hungry and offered a meal at 5.30pm which I gratefully accepted! When I requested a vegetarian meal, they produced a delicious salad plate with fried eggs and a quinoa burger. It was truly excellent. They also made a wonderful cheese omelette for my breakfast. Some of the best food I had on the entire Camino Frances.

I have stayed here 4 times when Camino walking because it is so welcoming and caring. In an excellent location, the rooms are clean, modern and well appointed. The restaurant serves exceptional food and an early breakfast for those walking! The staff are friendly and efficient, particularly the manager who goes out of his way in his dealings with his guests. Strongly recommended.
