The best thing to enjoy in the region is the Trilha Via Verde Del Mar: Benicassim - Oropesa, a very popular trail for road biking, running, and walking. It was really nice in May even though they say the best times to visit the trail are July through April. Castellón de la Plana itself doesn't have a lot to offer compared to Valencia for example. I know the city because I lived there for 10 years. There are many possibilities, you can go to the mountains or the sea, in the surroundings by car, there are many places where you can dine with friends, shops, etc. Even if you don't have a car, you can use public transport. The city is absolutely stunning with such a great vibe. The last day of vacation we had the dinner at an incredible Romanian bar called Angela Bar. The owner, a beautiful lady wearing the traditional Romanian clothes made our evening so special with her delicious dishes and the history of the articles around the bar. I huge recommend her wonderful place full of happiness, history and delicious food. I'm not talking about the eyes catching, delicious tostada with a fresh coffee at every single cafe/bar we had every single morning.
