Espolla is a fairly remote village but beautifully located...
Espolla is a fairly remote village but beautifully located towards the Pyrenees. Easy to access and plenty of near villages with great restaurants. There is a bar restaurant in the village but we did not try is this trip. Chez Louisette in Garriguella is not to be missed ( our fifth visit and just as good ). A new tapas bar at the bio winery in Rabos was superb....and near by Peralada has a few superb restaurants ( not to mention the cellar winery, and welk known summer festivals ) and even better fish restaurant next to the castle...you are about 30 minutes from the coast and all this has to offer....Guest review byBrianFrance
