Jaume, the hotelier, was professional and welcoming. He made my wife and I feel at home. He offered advice on points of interest, best routes and best parking areas. He made us feel at home. His staff was equally courteous and professional. We had dinner twice at the restaurant and the food was fantastic. Everything is reasonably priced. A big plus is the village of Madremanya itself. The restoration has been done very sympathetically yet with all modern conveniences such as air con etc. The pool and garden area is delightful and the restaurant is wonderful, especially if you're a foodie and interested in Catalonian cuisine. Everything about the hotel is done with terrific aesthetic sensibility and care, from the landscaping to the pool to the layout of the rooms. The owner is personable and pleasantly ironic.
