The position of the hotel is excellent, the historical importance of the building and the design of the hotel, the hygiene, the room, the comfort of the bed and pillows, the efficiency of the maids. we didn't have breakfast and dinner at the hotel (so many tapas bars and tavernas as well as Mercado de Miguel nearby 😄) so we can't rate that

Fantastic hotel, the staff are great, they are always happy to help. The vallet service was amazing. Breakfast has all you need in the buffet and the menu. The location is lovely, in the most relaxing and peaceful area in Madrid. The room was exceptionally clean with bedding, pillows, and linen that were class. Highly recommend. Would love to return again.

Great location to walk around the city. Small room but clean and the bed is comfortable. I left items inside the safe deposit and the staff very kindly kept it for me to pick up. The hotel doesn't serve hot breakfast but provides free coffee, juice, fruits, and cookies for free all day.

The Spanish Soul of Art and Entertainment

Modern Madrid is one of the greenest cities in Europe and the most popular destination in Spain. Whether you want to experience its legendary nightlife or a flamenco show, this is the place to be.

The renowned Museo del Prado holds one of the world’s finest art collections with iconic paintings by El Greco, Velázquez and Goya. For more modern touch, the Museo Reina Sofia houses Picasso’s and Dali’s most respected works.

Start your evening at Puerta del Sol, one of the city’s busiest spots. Make some room in your stomach for great tapas and sangria in La Latina district, south of the city’s most famous plaza, Plaza Mayor.

Real Madrid plays at Santiago Bernabeu and Atlético Madrid competes at Vicente Calderón Stadium, two opportunities that no sports fan will want to miss. The popular Salamanca district is a great place to look for boutique gifts and unique shops.

Thanks to great public transportation system, getting to the city centre from Madrid Barajas International Airport is very easy. Whether you’re looking for luxury hotels, budget hostels or comfy apartments, Booking.com has a perfect place for your Madrid holiday.

Madrid is a reasonably compact city which is easy to get around and to travel to and from. Lots of interesting and pleasant squares, parks, shops and cafes. Highlights are its cultural heritage of world class museums and palaces, worthy of a capital city.

The area has plenty of shops and metro stations, which is very convenient. However, I didn’t like the general lack of cleanliness — there was quite a bit of trash on the streets and a noticeable smell of urine in some of the narrower alleys.

Very lively city. My favourite was Gran Via. Getting around Madrid on train and buses were easy. People were very helpful even though they do not speak English at all. Loved the Flamenco show and shopping in Gran Via street.

i’ve been to paris, rome, tirana, and madrid, and i live in florianópolis (one of the most beautiful cities in brazil). madrid is by far the most beautiful city i’ve seen so far. i don’t understand a word of spanish, but spanish people understand a bit of portuguese and are extremely friendly. they make an effort to understand, they even try to speak portuguese, it’s really nice. the 5g connection there is poor. store wi-fi networks rarely work. on the street, 5g works slowly, but as soon as you enter a store, the signal drops by about 60%. and in stores with floors below ground level, forget it , there’s no wi-fi or 5g at all.

We only spent 1 full day in Madrid, at the end of our 2 week trip around NE region of Spain. We walked 10 miles through the city. The Puerto de Sol and Mayer squares/Gran Via area were VERY crowded the Saturday we were there (kind of like Times Square on New Years Eve!). Reina Sophia Museum was very nice and free for seniors! If you like city life, there were many, many restaurants in addition to upscale shopping. There were city festivities such as singing in the square. Personally, we preferred Barcelona.

Madrid beyond our expectations. Clean vibrant and inviting.

Madrid beyond our expectations. Clean vibrant and inviting. The architecture illustrated the amazing history of the city. It was so easy to navigate around the city travelling on the subway from the modern areas to the old quarter. The large parks and gardens provided respite from Madrid's summer heat.

Modern hotel great for a one night stay in Madrid, right by Sol metro station so we could walk around Madrid from there. Absolute bargain for a family room in the city centre and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The rooms look brand new, and had air conditioning which was great because it was very warm.

The best choice for the city centre of Madrid. Next to plaza del sol but at the same time quite exterior environment, which in combination with the great soundproof of the hotel creates a peaceful environment to relax during the night.
