Palma is an excellent city to visit full of beautiful stone buildings with winding streets opening to wide plazas full of bars and restaurants. It has excellent shopping for all tastes and budgets and a wonderful range of small independent shops, art galleries and interior design companies. There's a range of food opportunities from traditional tapas bars to piazza and Asian foods. Its a lively yet chilled city and extra lovely outside the main summer months. Cathedral is 'mandatory' (pre-book) Main shopping streets are great but wander off to right and left for a more authentic experience. The Hotel St Francis rooftop bar is magical at night. Open to non residents in the evening if you can cope with the Instagramers. What a great city - the cathedral is spectacular -it is easy to get around (we hired bikes). Easy access by walking and the old town is gorgeous - full of little, squares and intriguing little roads. An extremely friendly and helpfull host, a spacious flat with terrace and every comfort you need, very clean and very tastefull. Close to the airport, close to the center, close to the fantastic city beach and yet not in a touristic area.
