Wow! Our three night stay at the beautiful self catering property in rural Valor was wonderful. Spotlessly clean, the lovely self-catering house had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. What's special here? - Stunning views of the miles and miles of the mesmerising Sierra Nevada. - A gorgeous swimming pool. A good size with a personal feel. - Fresh figs on the trees which Manuel allowed us to pluck and eat. - Quiet and secluded with a lovely outdoor dining/bbq area in addition to your own private balcony. - Secure parking and direct access to your property with your car to make life easier. The place is absolutely beautiful, close to everything in the village, with amazing views and really nice shared facilities like the pool, terraces and kitchen. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, their Spanish is not great but enough to communicate, and non-Spanish speakers will be relieved to find native English speaking staff! The atmosphere is wonderful, we made great connections with the other guests and staff and the large amount of shared spaces encourage interacting with other people, which I think is the intention of the place. If you want to visit a welcoming place where you can meet great people and have fun, I would really recommend it. If you want a peaceful stay, you will always find an area where you can just relax and unwind.

The location of the apartments were excellent and easy to find and park. We arrived and was greeted at reception and had a short tour with a trip down to the bodega where we tried the most delicious wine. The apartment was so comfortable and spacious and the heating system was best I have seen in an accommodation as I was worried we would be cold but the temperature was excellent. Bed was comfortable and extra quilt if we needed it. Bathroom facilities were very good lovely large shower. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed. We did eat out but another visit we would be happy to cook and eat in the apartment with the lovely dining table and outside balcony was fab. From the lounge to the bedroom the balcony looked out to stunning views. What a gem to find. We loved it so much we stayed another night.

We were out of season with a few guests at the property, yet the check-in, room, and breakfast were handled well. The property itself is good if you arrive by car, walking from the city is a bit of a chore and requires you taking a car road. The apartments are cozy with good heating, water pressure, and internet connection, they are a bit dated, but everything was clean and kept in good condition. Nice views on the sunrise from apartment windows as well. Breakfast was plentiful.

The owner Peter was the best character in the world an Italian Architect who has over the 15 years of ownership created this fantastic retreat up in the mountains of the Sierra Nevada. My friend and I were touring on our motorcycles and the stay was the highlight of our trip through Spain and Portugal. I would highly recommend the hotel, the food, bar and friendliness was wonderful. Many thanks Peter and hope to see you again sometime.
