Situated in Golf Del Sur - it's pretty much an ex-pat community comprised mainly of the British. If you want nightlife, then this isn't the place for you. There are quite a few bars and restaurants around the place, but better to take a stroll down to San Blas or Los Abrigos for more options. It's one junction down from the airport, so if you don't like aircraft noise, then again, this isn't for you. Love this resort, we stay at the Santa Barbara resort which is a fantastic resort and the rooms are very modern, the pool area is lovely with different levels for sunbathing if you don’t want to be by the pool and you can book your beds a day in advance, so no getting up at the crack of dawn to put your towel on a sunbed. They have a lovely terrance bar with evening entertainment, kids games room and a gift shop & supermarket on site. The bus stop is a short walk away with easy access to the airport or Los Cristiano's. The resort is right on the seafront with a great coastal path that you can walk down to San Blas or even Los Abrigos. We have stayed in the area many times. Its ideal for those who want a quiet restful holiday without the noise of night life. The restaurants in San blas offer good food at a good price. The area has lots of pleasant walks along the coastline . Plenty of parking nearby. We hired a car and went to nearby beaches at la Tajita and El Medano. Buses are frequent and trtavel to other local beaches and Los Christianos should you want a day of noise and activity. I have been going to Golf del Sur area for many years.
I have been going to Golf del Sur area for many years. The golf courses are good, hence the reason I stay in this area. The downside is that there are really no sandy beaches nearby. However there are good ones a short bus journey away. Had a fantastic meal at the Mirador restaurant in Los Abrigos. It looks better in person than in the photos! 😍 We had a beautiful terasse with a pool view. It was quiet so we could sleep with the open window. Our host was amazing. He explained us everything and even draw on the map where we can find beaches, restaurants, bars, etc. It was perfectly clean, we slept on sofa which was so comfortable. All in all, we loved it!
