Room was clean, bed was a good size, 3 in the room but only 2 of each cutlery and plate's etc.., no table to eat at, had to eat on the bed, cooker was awful, took 1 hour to cook pasta and fish, check-in was complicated, had to make 3 card payment's, no option to ask for help if needed, a hotel room with a kitchen sink. Very nice place , but hard to know really what it's like so...
Very nice place , but hard to know really what it's like so far out of season. There were some nice restaurants with In walking distance , but some road lighting was not working and was dark walking to them. A really good Mexican restaurant about 10/12 minute walk was really good value for money and nice atmosphere. It was quite easy to get to soto de la marina from the Airport about a 20 minute drive motorway and then through local towns, quite easy to get to city center(Santander) worth a visit and a nice place also to visit is San Vicente about a 40 minute drive. It's located close to the beach, there are some restaurants around. If you want to go to Santander, it's a short distance drive. I guess you can see all that on the internet...what you can't see are the amazing people running this place - everything (literally) we asked, they tried to help. They're great fun too, very friendly, and giving you a kind of atmosphere you're at friends house rather than a hotel. The view from our room was breathtaking, probably one of the best we’ve ever had! We were so happy that the place is pet-friendly - it was wonderful to stay here with our dog. Breakfast was delicious, and parking was easy - there’s a private area and plenty of free spots nearby, especially off-season. The pool is a real plus as is having the car just outside the flat which is fantastic if you are arriving from or travelling to Portsmouth or Plymouth. A fabulous restaurant 5 minutes away on foot and fantastic bar/ coffee shop across the road. We will mosr certainly be returning. I would highly recommend. Very nice staff, free and safe parking, very clean room, comfortable bed and fast internet. Despite December, the room was very warm. And the bar downstairs is a different story; one might say it is the heart and soul of the hotel. Just for this atmosphere I want to come back.
