It was a perfect stay for our final day before heading back home. We could totally switch off in the beautiful countryside and Alberto has provided us with the best service, so we were able to combine beach visit and relaxing in nature. The room was great, nicely decorated, comfortable beds. We were able to relax at night knowing that the transfer to the airport is taken care of.

This hotel is run by two very talented women. From the welcome to the goodbye they were delightful and extremely helpful. Breakfast was great. The coffee was perfect and there was an impressive range of breakfast food on offer. This place is an absolute gem.

Right in the heart of the town but quiet enough to sleep well. A lovely little hotel with very friendly staff. Very reasonably priced and had everything we wanted. Had a lift if your bags were heavy too.

We get here by taxi due to heavy rain.. a bit off the official camino way, as the hotel its self about 900m walk off the town center. The unique deco from the hotel lobby till the room was amazing and unique.. even the shower was good and authentic. The guy name Adrian was super knowledge and very passion to share with anyone about everything.. He is like the hospitalero that we find a lot in Camino Frances. I found its very ok for pilgrims who look for privacy and take a break from Alburgea

    Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village.

    Actually Soto del Barco is a very tiny village. There is a paved path leading to a "castle" which is very amenable (the path, the castle is private), and then you can walk 2km to the beach of Los Quebrantos, which is splendid. The walk is by the road (so no risk at all). The views from the hotel "Palacio de la Magdalena" are totally world-class. And the cook there is great. Book your table in advance.

    We came in winter time and I believe that in summer this place has a lot to offer. We stayed only one night on our road trip and it was a good choice as we like these family hotels.
