We stayed for a go-karting event nearby in Campillos, so we didn't spend too much time in the property, but when we did it was very peaceful and relaxing. It is within walking distance of the small town centre and nowhere is very far to walk to. The owners, Franck and Maria were excellent hosts. I love drinking tea, and I couldn't find an electric kettle to boil the water. When I mentioned this to Franck, he had one delivered to the property the very next day. Perfect.

Very clean with lovely towels, toiletries etc. At this time of year it can be cold but the room was lovely and warm and welcoming. Fantastic location in an old railway station with beautiful views, right on the via verde, which is an old railway line now used for cycling and walking. A good walk uphill into the village. Helpful staff and owner who arranged a bike for me to enjoy the Vulture colony nearby. Easy parking onsite and easy to find as it's not in the centre of town.

During our three-day stay, we received a warm and wonderful welcome from the owner. The house is newly renovated, and rarely have we encountered such an exquisitely decorated place. Every room—all 14 of them—was top-notch, tastefully luxurious, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Attention to detail was evident throughout the house, with a fantastic, delightful terrace and well-appointed kitchen facilities. The location was also perfect, nestled between Ronda, Setenil, and Olvera. We found Alcalá del Valle to be authentically Spanish, with excellent dining options and incredibly welcoming locals. We highly recommend Palacete BARSANZ HOME and would love to return.

Marie Jose is a wonderful, thoughtful, helpful host. She had the heating on when we arrived, advised us on bars and restaurants and let us keep our bicycles in a secure garage. The studio is spacious, spotless, comfortable and well designed. Very comfortable bed, good shower, well equipped kitchen. There is a lovely roof terrace with a view of the castle and the hills that gets sun all day. Really felt at home here.

    Everything.... perfect little hideaway and hidden gem.

    Everything.... perfect little hideaway and hidden gem. It was only a 1night stopover for us heading to Portugal but house was very spacious and clean. Bars in walking distance. Owner very friendly Tip would be when you see Barney Rubble turn right to a more open space with about 3 Road options.... 2nd left is to the garage at the back of the house. Much easier than driving to the front of the house through the town. To park turn around and face up the road.... better angle to reverse in.
