Excellent little town with ample restaurant choices and amazing access to the Calanques National Park. Very walkable, great bakeries (Boulangerie Lion & Le Fournil du Port). We loved the boat trip to the Calanques: beautiful scenery, don't take the shortest one. It is worthwhile spending at least 1 hour and 30 mins to explore the Calanques. There are a couple of great beaches at walking distance from the centre of Cassis. Cassis is a lovely town with a nice harbour and marina. Plenty of restaurants and not too dear. Cassis is served by train, however, the train station is 20 minutes by bus from the town centre. The bus is cheap and seems to meet most trains.Guest review byJohnIreland - 8.0

Cassis is our dream vacation - an adorable beach town that has none of the snootiness of some others in the south of France. It's relaxing without being boring. Our favorite resort vacation and this time made even better because we discover Enjoy Sushi, one of the most incredible sushi restaurants we've ever encountered. Walking around the town is fun. Cassis is a very pretty town which surrounds the port. There are many boats moored there, and a nice beach. Many cafes, shops and restaurants to choose from. We were only meant to stay for 2 nights and ended up extending our stay at Le Maguy because we felt so relaxed, safe and loved the vibe. Excellent location with a short 5 min walk yo most beaches and the city centre. The hotel is perched on a little hill so you get the most exquisite view of Cassis and of course the jacuzzi, sauna and pool facilities were given a workout by us.
