Chris and Tracey were amazing, they contacted me before my stay to say local restaurants were closed on Mondays and would I like a meal and small dessert for a minimal fee which I jumped at the chance of. the meal was amazing and Chris and Tracey were really friendly and happy to chat about the house and how long they had been in France. Room was huge with a great big bathroom too! I had a fantastic nights sleep - everything was perfect

Christine is a great host. She makes you feel comfortable as soon as you arrive. We loved our stay. It was comfortable, spotlessly clean and easy to find. The private terrace and garden surrounded by lavender was a nice place to sit out in. Plus there was her wonderful pool area. She kindly gave us a bowl of homegrown tomatoes and figs straight off her tree. I had a great massage in her beautiful, relaxing room. It left me feeling so relaxed. We only stayed two nights but wished we had stayed longer. Christine speaks perfect English which made communication very easy. We would absolutely recommend Le Gîte de Lou.

Lovely welcome, comfy room, all perfectly clean. Nice quiet location with short walk to good town with excellent shops bars and restaurants. Excellent breakfast. Had a wonderful stay, walking and cycling in beautiful countryside. Nice grounds I enjoyed reading my book by the river. A comfy house with log fires at night, got on very well with the owners and felt at home all for a very reasonable price.

What we liked the most were the hosts, Kate and Peter. They were kind and really helpful! The breakfast was amazing and the tea and pie they offered at our arrival, excellent!

Both Collette & Albert were very kind and superb hosts. We would 100% return if in the area again. The sleep was amazing ...the beautiful smell of the open fire, and meeting our wonderful hosts was an amazing welcome after a long journey!! Highly recommend this stay! Well, where do I start ???? How much space do I have? Domaine de Langlardie was not just a wonderful, old, unusual, quirky, amazing manor house ( although it was all those things) - but also our stay there was an enchanting, uplifting, and almost spiritual experience - Anna and Jorge not only made us feel absolutely at home from the very first "bonjour" but they are totally generous from then on with their time and enthusiasm. . Nothing was ever too much trouble - the atmosphere is so relaxed , with Anna and Jorge seriously embracing the alternate lifestyle . I previously read about their "back to nature and eco-living" and ( a bit nervously) expected to meet a couple of sandal-wearing slightly "drop-out" hippies, but gow wrong was I!!! They are not like that at all, thank goodness. They live a simple, yet practical life, and are a true example of how eco-living can actually work, in the 21st century. . I would urge anyone to stay here - we booked an extra night as chef Martin was cooking his traditional "asado" Argentinian barbecue. And let's not forget the chorus of chirpy frogs from the natural rainwater pool!! There's so much more - but why not come and find out for yourselves?? Note- please come here if you have a genuine open mind to a new experience - and are curious to find something different - the venue is spotless and the decor eclectic yet traditional - but if newly-painted doors and shutters are essential for your stay then look elsewhere!!

This place is unforgettable! I stay in these types of properties often as I work with several château’s for destination weddings. This place will always stand out for how beautiful the property is, the house and its decor and how exceptionally kind and welcoming the hosts are. It is next level!! Truly an experience worth having again!! The pictures do not do it justice and the hospitality is unmatched.
