Enjoyed swimming, walking along the sea front and the ports and having coffee overlooking the sea front. Didn’t really see the uphill historic part, which I regret. The Tourist office at Saint Raphael was helpful as I needed a bus timetable. I’d say you need to be reasonably fit ( or have a car) to stay in the area I was in as in fact buses were few and far between so I did a lot of walking. I was on an Interrail pass so also enjoyed a little side trip out to Nice, which has good and frequent rail links with Saint Raphael.Guest review bySusanUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Gorgeous little town easily accessible by train.
Gorgeous little town easily accessible by train. Probably touristy in the summer but, in February, it was wonderfully quiet. There seems to be a small square at every turn with cafes and shops galore. The cathedral is stunning and was built in the 5th century!!Guest review byLelandCanada - 8.0

Very interesting town, full of Roman remains and only 20 minutes to the beaches at St. Raphael. A much cheaper alternative to staying anywhere on the coast. The Horus Hotel screwed us all.
The Horus Hotel screwed us all. We paid via booking.com but the Hotel denied any record and said they didn't have enough rooms for our party, yet they accepted other un-booked guests. Despite it getting chilly in the South of France in winter the house was nice and warm, there are even towel heaters in the bathrooms! Bedrooms are nicely build with very good beds.
