The location was good, you are very close to city center of Grasse, 30 min drive to Cannes, yet when you are at the hotel, you feel like you are 1000 km away from the crowd. Although it was rainy the day we stayed (we couldn’t enjoy the pool which looked nice) still didn’t lower our mood, we had some drinks at the garden. We had dinner at the hotel, it was our 25th year marriage anniversary. The dinner was 5 star fine dining. A little bit expensive, but we were expecting it. They made a gesture by taking our photo at the dinner, printed and placed it on a nice post card, wishing us many more years togather. It was nice💕 The room was nicely decorated, spacious, luxurious and very clean. Thank you.

We were given a recently refurbished room with a balcony and a great view. The work was not quite finished but the room will be very good when all is completed. A few bits of trim and a light fixture were not yet done but this did affect our stay. The bathroom was clean and new and the bed was absolutely fine. Breakfast was the normal and perfectly acceptable. Parking was excellent for motorcycles, I think there are spaces for car users. Chap on the front desk was very welcoming and helpful. Very reasonable price for a comfortable overnight stay. Good availability of bars/cafe/resuarant etc. within short walk I would stay here again.

Everything! The room was so nice and cosy, very clean and also with the best view. The Bastide itself was also very nice, the pool area also has the best view over the villages, breakfast as always so tasty and done with care. I had the best cheese! The host Cecile was very polite, very tentative to everyones needs, treated us with care and kindness. The location is also pretty good, very close to everything. We went to Cannes, Antibes, Monaco, Saint Tropez, Grasse, Saint Paul du Vence, so it is a very good strategic location.

You couldn’t hope for a better place to stay to explore Grasse and the surrounding area. You will discover a beautiful house with fabulous gardens and many places to relax - really the jewel in the crown of grasse! As soon as we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome by our hosts, Yvan and Claire, and blown away by the exquisite furnishings and decoration. Impeccably clean and comfortable, spacious and light, a modern ascetic with an emphasis on art and design. An absolute treat for the eyes!! Practicalities: fast WiFi, towels, peaceful and quiet, fresh linen, comfy bed, breakfast to die for, multiple places to chill or work if needed, easy walking distance to the town. We didn’t need it but parking is available for small extra fee. Even for my mum who has problems with her knees, the steps leading to the house were totally manageable. Perfect for single or double occupancy. Concierge service available on request if you have any special requirements. A real highlight for us were the local insights and recommendations our hosts were able to provide. If you have an interest in art, fragrance, history and food, this is the place for you! So much to see and do. Once you arrive you will never want to leave. We’ll be back :) Thank you so so much Yvan and Claire!

    We didn't like Grasse.

    We didn't like Grasse. The old town was seedy and felt unsafe at night. During the day my husband and I took a walk around the town. We came across a very large square that was filled with only men - not a woman in sight. When we walked into the square, they all stopped and looked at me as if to say 'What is a woman doing here?'. It was very strange to experience this in France. At night we chose to stay in and cook rather than go to a restaurant simply because it did not feel safe.

    Beautiful city and probably very interesting during the day.

    Beautiful city and probably very interesting during the day. Spectacular views. At night the centre was very quiet ,in fact dead. Everywhere seemed to be closed except some seedy-looking bars which housed some dubious-looking clients. Virtually no women or young people around . Not a nice atmosphere. Only there for one night .

    Great by daytime with charming shops and the renowned purfumeries (Fragonard, etc). Be prepared to splash out in the numerous shops. Somewhat gloomy and unsafe at night, no locals in the streets, all decent places closed, and lots of immigrants that do not look exactly happy and well-to-do.

    Perfume heaven! Plenty of indie perfumers. The wonderful International Museum of Perfumery and Fragonard (Fragonard museum is free) are 'must visits) . Restaurants were variable and we found traditional French style restaurants a bit thin on the ground., however we enjoyed La Tannerie, with great French cuisine, superb service and good value. Plenty of pizza, snacks and cafes There's a very well stocked Monoprix supermarket, a food market on Tuesday mornings in the square and plenty of cheese shops and boulangeries.and the local provencal rose wines are delicious! Bring good walking shoes as the tiny streets are quite steep in places. The town is clean and friendly

    Grasse is a historic perfume centre in south-east France.

    Grasse is a historic perfume centre in south-east France. Perfume is the main focus of the town, with shops, museums and tours centred on its production. The Museum Fragonard is an interesting experience, to be recommended. The town is easy to walk round, though getting buses in and out of the town involve considerable walking. It can be busy with cars at times.

    Amazing, cozy, unforgettable An oasis of tranquility and idyllic atmosphere! The house is very cozy and very well presented, spotlessly clean! From the garden, the horses and the views, all is incredible! You can see the Grasse and other areas out into the mountains. We love our time here! Murielle is extremely friendly and very kind! She gave us many advices about what to do in zone. Thank you for our unforgettable experience! We hope we will return soon!

    The suite is perfect for one person and is decorated in a tasteful way. It is warm and cozy - it can be cold in February. The washing machine was great to have. It is perfectly located - close to everything of interest in Grasse. The owner responded quickly to questions. I really enjoyed my stay.

    Had a great short stay here to visit family in Plan De Grasse. Hosts were v welcoming and bedroom and bathroom were v spacious and comfortable. Will stay here again when back to visit. Walking distance to Fragonard and Galimard Perfumeries and cafes and supermarket.
