Lalinde is ideally situated for exploring into the Dordogne and up to Perigord region. Brantome is well worth a visit to the north. There are a couple of great restaurants, Le P'tit Loup and All'Olivo in particular. However, Sunday and Monday evenings it all closes up a bit so you need to be able to cater for yourself for food and drink. The apartment was clean, spacious and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. We did not meet the owner, but he was easily contactable and responded quickly to any queries. He was very accommodating, when at the last minute we had an additional person join our group. We made full use of the covered balcony which has a view of the Dordogne. We loved the birdsong and fresh air every morning with our breakfast by the pool.. The local village, Lalinde, is walkable but it's steep on the way home!
