The decor and amazing attention to detail. Lots of antique furnishing. I stepped back in time. The staff also dressed in period costumes. Simply so elegant. The food was amazing and spa treatment was so relaxing. I wanted to be Marie Antoinette for the day: makeup, hair and dresser and photography and they arranged the whole experience so well. Thank you. Will be back to try out the other rooms. Such a tranquil place.

Excellent in every way. Great fresh breakfast. The proprietor " Oliver " is a great host. Top of the line stay. A incredible bargain to stay at his place. I cannot imagine going to another place after staying there.

The location was serene and the castle and grounds were absolutely beautiful. The owner and staff were lovely and we added night because our tween boys liked this place so much! We hope to come back again for a longer visit!

Close to Amboise, this charming and quiet mansion, furnished with great attention to detail, is a place where we felt very comfortable and would love to come back. The beautiful house has four cosy rooms, all on the first floor, a dining room and three living rooms where you can take time out, play billiards, read or just relax. Soft drinks, beer, coffee and tea are available free of charge and there is a microwave, oven and small beverage refrigerator for guests who wish to self-cater. Behind the house is a lovely, lush garden, a swimming pool (which was closed during our stay in April), and plenty of parking if you arrive by car. The delicious breakfast, served from 8 to 10 a.m., is a real treat with homemade bread, pastries, local cheeses, eggs, ham, apple or orange juice, assorted jams, honey, fruit, and freshly brewed coffee or herbal tea. Patrick and Isabelle are wonderful hosts − friendly, caring, attentive and helpful, sparing no effort to make you feel right at home.

After 600km in the car, Les Jarriers is an absolute haven of tranquility. The location is amazing - ten minutes from the A10 and you are in the heart of the calm, rural France that is Dame-Marie-Les-Bois. The Gîte itself is set in a beautiful garden. The host, Nicholas is very welcoming and friendly. Our room was very comfortable and spotless. Breakfast was excellent, I can tell I had the best "Pain Perdue" I've ever tasted! A fantastic place for a stopover or for a visit to the many famous Chateaux in the area.
