Lovely apartment. Access was easy with door code. Parking just across the street. Whole apartment was spotless and comfortable with everything you need. All cooking facilities and nice balcony overlooking the river towards the cathedral and lively restaurants. Easy walk to historic town and sites and many restaurants.

Everything! The location was great! In a quiet end street next to other lovely houses. But still really close to the center. Just a few steps to walk. The kitchen was well equipped. The laundry room was excellent. We were living our own little French dream there. Kids loved the small garden. Breakfasts on the terrace enjoying the warmth and sun. Thank you Patricia!

    We loved the narrow streets, with bars and bistros everywhere. The cathedral is a very striking building, and can be seen from long distances. We enjoyed the markets, and the general atmosphere of the town. We felt safe walking round.

    Some splendid buildings including the two churches.

    Some splendid buildings including the two churches. The Vesunna museum is outstanding. The Wednesday market is lively and sells local produce. The town is full of excellent reasonably priced restaurants.

    On reflection we should have spent more time in Périgueux...

    On reflection we should have spent more time in Périgueux and less time in Paris. It’s a beautiful location and travelling by train allowed us the opportunity to view the country side and surrounding towns on the way to Périgueux.

    Clean, easy to get round, not at all touristy, just a pleasant French town in the Perigord region. Unfortunately, I wasn't there long enough to explore the wider area. It was a nice change from Bergerac. I was looking forward to seeing the greco-roman remains but it was closed - it being a Monday.

    This was my first visit to Perigueux and I was very impressed at how beautiful and interesting it was. Although my visit was short, it was easy to see how lovely the area and surrounding countryside was. I would definitely go back for a longer visit and explore the area further.

    Such interesting history & architecture to see. Very pretty. The Cathedral :) The lovely little streets with old buildings, lots of little shops and cafes. Take Le petit train for a really good trip around Perigeux with commentary. Walk by the river. The tower & Roman info, museum also fabulous. Take your pick - all lovely, tranquil yet busy & picturesque. Solo traveller
