Great base for a hiking or skiing focused trip. Very quiet town, but there's a lively market on Saturdays. Plenty of restaurant options every night, including week nights. Bakeries and grocery store for hiking provisions. We didn't explore public transit or taxi options up to Mercantour park entrance because we had a rental car. Some trails leave from the center of town. There's also a very impressive indoor climbing center with a pool that would be great for families or for rainy-day activities, but we didn't have time to visit. This place has been destroyed by several heavy rains and floods but they are making such an effort to recontruct, and despite the shock of 2020 and 2023 everyone is smiling, positive and open minded, I loved the people and the place, not to speak of the spectacular mountain walks.Guest review byPia ParolinFrance - 8.0

The apartment was clean and well-equipped, with plenty of kitchen utensils and extra bedding, making it feel very cozy and homelike. There’s even a bio-market just a few meters away, which was super convenient for picking up small essentials. Emily was very helpful during our stay, kindly letting us know where we could find additional necessities, which made things much easier.
