There's lots to explore in Saint-Nazaire. I took four tours in one day visiting the Chantier de l'Atlantique (shipyard), Nazi submarine base, French submarine Espadon and Escal'Atlantic cruise ship experience. All excellent. One or two more days would have been welcome. Book early - I missed out on the harbour visit and Airbus. The beach and bar area was lovely.
The beach and bar area was lovely. The shopping precint and cinema is next to the hotel. We went to visit the old U-Boat pens and museum which were very accessible. Our room over looked the pens.You can walk around the old pens and there is rooftop access on top of the pens and fortified lock so you get a panoramic view from both sides of the harbour. We were able to store our cycles in a locked area which was part of the hotel and sockets were provided to charge up electric bikes. A good breakfast and great staff.
