The way this B&B is run should truly be an example for others. Our room was tastefully decorated, spotless, and very comfortable. The host was absolutely wonderful: kind, welcoming, and patient. She took the time to explain everything clearly, showed us around, and even greeted us with a freshly made iced tea upon arrival. She went out of her way to make us feel at home and she absolutely succeeded. She also gave us great tips on what to do in town and where to eat. The surroundings of the B&B were just as charming, with a small, beautifully maintained garden where you can relax with a drink. There’s also a cozy and nicely decorated common room with a complimentary coffee machine, an extra touch we really appreciated. Breakfast was simple but delicious, with fresh, especially tasty bread that stood out.

Everything was clean and tidy. All needs provided for and close to shops. Thursday market convivial. Can recommend Christofle for excellent lunches. Library manned by volunteers offers a wide range of french and English books.

Beautiful, traditional, old house. A big family home full of character. We had a large bedroom with bathroom that was also a kitchenette, and use of the lounge next to the bedroom. Noé was very helpful and kindly did some washing for us (we are on a cycling tour).

Christine and her husband were very welcoming, water, snacks and sweets in our room, she insisted she cook our tea. Very happy friendly atmosphere and highly recommended! Offered use of their garage for our motorcycles. Very enjoyable stay!

    We didn’t have much time but we loved the ambiance of the place. The people we met were so helpful and kind. We eat in ‘Au Repaire’ and thoroughly enjoyed the food which was served by a lovely girl. The manager was also most helpful. We had a drink in ‘Le Chalet’ which again was served by a young guy who was so pleasant & gave his time to show us the way to our restaurant. We also met a girl on her way to the baths who took time to show us the way to a restaurant, she took out her phone and walked with us. This is hospitality and hopefully we will return. I have already told many friends who will certainly visit Salies-de -Béarn .

    Salies de Bearn was lovely, architecture was gorgeous and the Christmas decorations around town were lovely. Unfortunately there was not much open on 24 and 25 December, something that was very disappointing as a tourist. So sanwiches and wine for 2 nights running was not what we had expected or were looking for. I think many towns don't think about people who are away from home and would like a family Xmas with others in different cultures and towns..

    When I return I will bring some form of air conditioning (Dyson type). No hairdryer was a surprise. Take out the old slippery bath a replace it with an Italian non slip shower unit. Leave simple instructions for all equipment and provide tv in English. Other than these moans, it was the perfect home from home for us and our little dog. The quality of the equipment was good and the bed was first class!

    The perfect historic well preserved small town: good size...

    The perfect historic well preserved small town: good size for walking around and getting familiar with everything, good and interesting museum and local businesses, picturesque corners everywhere and an extraordinary history of its own. Besides all these virtues, it is a good departing point for several good short excursions to nice surroundings.

    I love this little hotel and the town of Salies-de-Béarn. Been here many times in the past and it's just a lovely hotel and location with a well kept 9 hole golf course ta boot. Hotel rooms have been redecorated and upgraded since I was last here. Great value and golf course in really good condition. Not the most challenging 9 holes but a very pretty location with the river running through the middle. Will always look forward to returning to say hello

    The Studio flat is ideally situated within walking distance of the centre of Salies de Béarn. Quiet, very Tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and has all the facilities required . Marie Noelle is a thoughtful, responsive and very nice /professional host who takes great care of her guests. She cooked us a delicious diner that was very reasonably priced. She made us feel really welcome. Bravo!
