The hotel is more of a motel so you have you own front door - didn't realise when booking. Absolutely fine though was a great stop over. The room was comfy and had everything we needed. It is in a quiet area on the outskirts of town. Breakfast was good as was the bar in the evening.

A truly gorgeous property, the welcome we received was great, both the owners made us feel very much welcome, everything was absolutely top notch, only a 5 minute walk from town, the room was big, airy and very clean, tea and coffe facilities were just outside the room, very welcome! the house is absolutely gorgeous, with a big patio area overlooking the the castle. The owners were very attentive but not intrusive, we fely we could of requested anything and they would do their best to provide, a massive THANK YOU for a lovely stay, would recommend to everyone looking for a great experience. Well worth a visit.

The fact that nothing was missing, the kitchen is very well equipped.The host was really nice and helpful Washing machine and dishwasher available.Iron and ironing board, all the cleaning products available that you need.All was perfect.Very clean ,nice view and proximity to the town centre 😀. A magnificent suite: bedroom & bathroom (pristine clean and spacious), salon, kitchen and patio where we could keep our two bicycles. Florence is a fantastic host. The decoration is magical. My favourite place of our ten days holidays cycling along the river Meuse. Thank you!

    we were just passsing through The food in the restaurant at the castle was not good-very basic despite the menu, tomato tart was stale and dessert not well presented or tasty service very slow Breakfast was poor- not much selection and poor quality. Small basket of tiny pastries, no tomato or cucumber No decaff coffee available Taps in basin were wobblyElectric socket in room did not work, paper cups for coffee- this was supposed to be 4 star Such a shame-- a beautiful hotel but poor attention to detail and food offerings

    Sedan was a nice city with a lot of character in places.

    Sedan was a nice city with a lot of character in places. Some decent bars and restaurants. Good walk out through the cobbled streets of the hotel. Good stop over hotel if traveling to Germany or Italy.

    The fortress is amazing and very safe to visit even with...

    The fortress is amazing and very safe to visit even with small children. Also, the city is very easy to visit, in that the whole downtown is a few minutes' walk away and it's beautiful to stroll in and take in the French lifestyle. If there was one let-down is that the Maison de Patrimoine, the city's other important historical attraction in addition to the fortress, only opens from 14.00-18.00! This seems like unnecessarily late opening hours, esp. during the weekend! This means that one-night visitors who only have one afternoon free in the city should choose between the fortress and the Maison de Patrimoine and can probably not visit both, esp. if they are history buffs and want to take their time reading all there is to read while visiting these places. The same more or less opening times are valid for the other historical attraction, just outside the city- Le Musee de la derniere cartouche, i.e. the house-turned-museum, where a French army unit fought the attacking Prussians literally down to the last bullet in the battle of Sedan on Aug 31-Sep 1, 1870. This is a bit disappointing for the visitor, who will probably not have enough time to see these attractions and will have to move on to other nearby historical destinations like Verdun.

    Staff, room, hotel and service and food all amazing, such a beautiful historical hotel, its really worth detouring down to this area to stay here. We were on a motorcycle tour and stopped over the one night so didnt get to take the tour, but intend to stop here again on the way home on my next trip and visit and do the tour. Again amazing and massive castle hotel !

    Everything was very good. Really clean and you won’t get a better location than this in Sedan. The host, Cindy was very welcoming and she gave us some useful information with a great booklet which is in several languages.

    Spectacular, comfortable, large, well-equipped cottage within 7 minute walk to downtown Sedan/Fort. The garden is lovely with a picnic table. Parking on site. I highly recommend this cottage while visiting Sedan.
