It was a very comfortable and quiet environment. Perfect to enjoy the town of Vitre. Everything in this lovely historical town was within easy strolling distance. The apartment was modern, light and airy and well laid out. Everything was clean and worked.

Vitre is a fascinating town, really ancient centre and a wonderful castle. We couldn't find a book giving much of its history either in French or English. I talked to.the owner of the most well stocked bookshop in town, and he told me that there was one, but out of print for 10 years or more. Also the only map we could get was not detailed.......just a very tiny tourist map.with the centre and names of a few streets , but no detailed city plan, the tourist information centre didn't have anything other than a small.leaflet with information about a few places around the town. There are a few free parking places but the street parking was difficult and paying during working hours. Lots of interesting looking shops but more than half of them closed for the month of August. But we really loved the place and want to go back. We had a good meal at a place called The cabbage soup, and an indifferent one near the station.

A lovely little basic hotel in a perfect position in the beautiful centre of Vitre. Both reception and bar men were so friendly and welcoming. The rooms were simple and quite small but exactly as we expected and all that we needed as a base for a short break in the area. Very clean, and daily towel changes! Once checked in, free secure indoor parking was just at the train station. A quick walk over the railway bridge. Loved our stay and enjoyed some lovely meals with lots of restaurants to choose from Thank you!

Well located for both Vitré town centre and the nearby Jardin du Parc which was perfect for a short Sunday morning stroll. Vitré old town was spectacular, and a great setting for La Fete de la Musique which was why we were there

The family running the hotel were very hospitable. It's a superb location if you are cycling the St Malo Nice ride. Very comfortable bed and quiet. Vitre is a superb stopover medieval town. Highly recommended.
