It doesn't happen often that your already positive expectations are far exceeded. Of course we had read the rave reviews in advance, but with our urban critical eye we naturally wanted to experience it with our own eyes first. Well, it all turned out to be true and even more than that. And that starts with host Thierry, who welcomed us warmly. His hospitality radiates from him, as does his love for the profession. You see that in superlative form at breakfast: grand, diverse, delicious, prepared by Thierry himself, where he treats the guests to new dishes from the immense French kitchen every time. In between he also has time for a personal chat, a laugh, tips for what to do in the area, without ever being pushy. Fantastic! We watched it with silent admiration. On the first day we also met Rosita, the hostess, who is just as hospitable. Villa Magnolia is located on the edge of Wissembourg, a few minutes walk from the center. The villa itself has been beautifully restored, with obvious attention to detail. We stayed in room Aube - the yellow room - where you will want for nothing. The room is spacious, the bathroom modern (including a rain shower), the bed sleeps wonderfully (thick mattresses), it is nice and dark at night, thanks to the automatic shutters. In the room you have coffee and tea making facilities. In the evening you can get a bottle of wine on the ground floor for a more than reasonable price - or some nibbles. We did not let that pass us by. You can also use the communal lounge and the outdoor terrace. And there is a sauna, for those who like to spend their time relaxing away. Not for us, but certainly an added value for many. Finally, no hassle with finding a place for your car, because parking is free on the premises.

Anne, the host was truly awesome. She helped make our stay first class. The building is renovated to a very high standard with excellent facilities. Location is central to town and it's a lovely place, well worth a visit!! Service was 11/10. If you're staying with bicycles, they have a space where they can be left securely.

    My 3 days trip in Wissembourg was amazing, especially remarkable because of such an nice householder. She has very experienced and nice local tips for me. The location of this apartment is super, very close to the city center. She is a very gorgeous and kind lady. After i was on my way back to Germany, i found i lost some stuff in the room. I called her for help. She found my stuff, even brought them to me to the train station! In total, Wissembourg is sooo nice, the ppl are soooo nice as well. Thank you again.

    The breakfast buffet was delicious with wonderful fresh bread and croissants, organic yoghurt and local jams. In addition we were served fresh hard-boiled eggs. The location was perfect for exploring the sights of Wissembourg, yet inside our room it was very quiet and we were able to sleep undisturbed. It was lovely to have a big bathroom The hosts were charming and very welcoming to both us and our dog; we would like to stay here again.

    A nice small hotel on the edge of Vosges with a lovely slightly rustic feel. Very homey and comfortable. Great location for hikers, of whom there were a number staying. Good parking, and an easy walk to lovely downtown Wissemburg, a small town with plentiful restaurants and lots of character.
