The Castle is in the centre of Bakewell so very convenient for exploring locally. Chatsworth House is only a few miles away and a great day out. Had a wonderful lunch at The Castle Inn. Dog friendly too which was a bonus. Great value meal. A good variety of shops in Bakewell including a fabulous store for dogs - Barks & Co who give great service. Had a take out from Raja’s at our holiday let in Upper Haddon. Very tasty! Bakewell is a very pretty place with lots of traditional shops and cafes, buildings made of traditional stone - very picturesque and nice riverside walks.
