    Very enjoyable stay, for the cost i thought it was brilliant value, the staff was all so friendly and helpful and made my 9 year old daughter feel special as they commented on her necklace, the food was great, happy with the room, would 100% recommend.

    Very pleasant town with friendly locals.

    Very pleasant town with friendly locals. Well appointed High Street. Had a bit of character. Impressed with local pride in the Manic Street Preachers & the Chartist Uprising of 1839. Can recommend Big Dog Coffee. Excellent coffee (& cake) with warm & friendly staff. Found a good secluded walk from High Street down under Chartists Bridge along the Sirhowy River visiting the Blackwood Piggies on the way.

    Blackwood is a small town in the welsh valleys it has every shop you can think of on the high! Pubs with live music. They have a miners institute for live theatre and live music events and shows. 2 big designated car park’s central to all shops restaurants and takeaways.

    Travelled on a business trip and staying at the Lodge was a delight. Lovely welcome from the host, offering home from home comforts. Tastefully furnished and comfortable accommodation, I only wish it was available for my next trip, I will be staying again. Highly recommended.

    A wonderful and relaxing overnight stay. Would have loved to stay longer and enjoy the many amenities offered. The food was exceptional and the servers and staff friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.

    Super clean, comfortable beds (although they are all single beds), nice shower, very pleasant host. The studio type accommodation worked perfectly for our purposes of visiting the National Park and Cardiff over a two day period (we had a car). It’s situated conveniently in Blackwood itself which is a nice town with all the amenities you might need. The snacks and drinks are a nice touch but I wouldn’t really call it a continental breakfast.

    The property was all you needed & extra things that you’d not get in a hotel. It was homely & had facilities for smokes in the garden which was in a covered area. The beds were comfortable & it felt like we were at home. It was near a main shops area & close to local amenities

    the hotel was quiet and was setting up for a high school event. Grounds have lovely views. Access is via narrow country lanes. Only stayed one night as working in the area so didn't get a chance to spend much time in the hotel.
