FAQs about hotels in Bournemouth

Sea Air and Savoir-Faire

Known for its sandy beaches and good nightlife, Bournemouth is a popular seaside resort on the Dorset coast between Poole and Christchurch.

The town is centered on the Bourne River, running downhill towards the sea by Bournemouth Pier. This pier looks back towards a promenade lined with beach huts at the foot of grassy cliffs. The promenade continues west to Poole, while a road heads east to neighboring Boscombe, where anglers often fish from its pier. Overlooking it is a clifftop road housing some Bournemouth hotels with sea views.

Booking.com also has hotels near the BIC (Bournemouth International Center) in the West Cliff area. This convention center and music venue is a short walk from the Art Deco Pavilion Theatre next to the Lower Gardens. In this popular city park is the Bournemouth Eye, a tethered hot air balloon with far-reaching views.

At the park’s top end the river disappears under a large square, then emerges in the Central Gardens. Overlooking these gardens is the Victorian town hall, which used to be one of several spa hotels in Bournemouth. Nearby, there's a Grade I registered historic church, and St. Peter’s Church has the grave of Mary Shelley, author of "Frankenstein."

On the outskirts of town, near 4 golf courses and the Castlepoint Shopping Center, is Bournemouth Airport.

A great place to visit and enjoy the Bournemouth garden, town centre and the amazing beach seafront. It is also perfect for a long walk in the seafront when the weather is good. There are also some good restaurants around the town centre.

Bournemouth has a beautiful town centre but let down by boarded up department stores and litter. The town council should do so much more to attract quality shops to such an attractive town and gardens.

We stayed in the main beach area in September and it was a perfect location, as I had my mum with me in her 70’s and the length of walk to the beach and the gradient were perfectly manageable for her. There were lots of restaurants and always something going on in the square. The beaches were so clean.

The hotel is ideal for a stay in the Bournemouth area. It's a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach or the pier, with good footpaths. Parking was great. The hotel was exceptionally clean and well presented. From the first welcome to the final goodbye, the staff were all good, helpful and efficient. Everything worked in the room. It was comfortable. The decor was good - breakfast was good every morning. Good selection of teas etc in the room

The daughter of the owner greeted us warmly. Our room was lovely clean and warm upon arrival. The bathroom and bedroom were tastefully decorated. This is the best hotel we have stayed in,in Bournemouth. The parking is at no extra cost, even left car while we went to a recommended cafe (Olives) a short walk away.We will stay here again.

Location wise it is perfect. It is close to both bournemouth pier and the city centre. Has clean rooms. If you do not want to use hotels parking area you can also use other parking areas close to hotel and parking prices are good for 24 hours parking. Price is really good.it has a fair breakfast option and hotel staff are friendly.

Location excellent within a short walk to the city centre and Bournemouth Pier. Room was very clean and warm. Decor was kept in good standard. Moreover English breakfast was very nice. For us it was excellent value for money. We like small hotel and not the modern big hotel. Finally parking was available at not extra charge.
