Bromborough, where I grew up as a child, is an ideal location for visiting the local towns of Chester and Liverpool, as it is located on both train and bus networks, with frequently running services at very reasonable fares. The historic town of Chester, the Lady Lever Art Gallery at Port Sunlight, and Liverpool City Centre, with it´s many tourist attractions are all within easy reach. Bromborough itself, has a large shopping centre, just outside the village, but within easy walking distance, as well as the original village centre, with a wide range of shops and restaurants.Guest review byAnne MargaretSpain - 8.0

Daughters boyfriend from the area so we travel from Newcastle to meet up with him and his family from time to time. Take aways, restaurants, shops close by, easy to get around Bromborough by bus or car also easy access to buses and trains into Chester and Liverpool City centre. Travelled from Newcastle to Royal Oak for a surprise 21st birthday party for daughter's boyfriend. Enjoyed our stay, staff friendly and helpful, room clean and tidy, bed so comfortable. Walking distance to train station ideal for getting to Liverpool City Centre or Chester, visited shops at the Croft. Restaurants, takeaways and shops close by. The accommodation is separated from the pub so there is no noise from people leaving the pub. The room was clean and nicely spaced. The shower was OK but as this was fed from the bath taps it wasn't very powerful but it did the job.Guest review byDebbie
