The local pub The White Horse is great and just a short stagger away. Lovely home cooked food with a bit of a twist. Cilcain is small but has a lovely community shop staffed by volunteers from around the village. Nothing is too much trouble and the people living in Cilcain are so friendly. It's walking country so be prepared for that. We loved it here myself and my wife with our daughter and son-in-law stayed for a family wedding a few miles away. It felt more like a holiday.
