    Please NOTE.

Please NOTE. This is a review about the village - NOT my awful stay at the Clifton Hampden B&B "The Plough Inn". Clifton Hampden is a beautiful village with lots of thatched cottages, a nice church, a fairly decent pub called the Barley Mow (food was good), with the Thames flowing through the village, and a very famous singer living there. It's 20 minutes from Oxford. If only it had a decent B&B.

Overall the village is very pleasant and quite quiet.

Overall the village is very pleasant and quite quiet. The local pub is a destination Chef and Brewer pub with a good quality of food and is very easily walkable from Clinton Hampden, although the road is a little ‘frisky’ in the dark as it is narrow and has no footpath in places, especially over the narrow bridge. The view of the Thames is stunning and the Thames path is great for a stroll/walk.

A nice little village with a pretty church and some lovely walks by the Thames. A good pub by the Thames but a little dangerous to walk over the bridge to get to it as you have to walk on the road at times.

The man who owned the property was very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were very good and the bed was very comfortable. Will stay again. We ate at the pub over the bridge both evenings and it was a good price and good food and only a short walk away.
