Ballater Hostel is an amazing place. Located in the beautiful and tranquil village of Ballater, it's a great place to stay. Dominique is really kind and will give you the best suggestions for trips, hikes, and food. She is always ready to help guests. Lovely little place with high-quality furnishings. Just a short walk from the middle of Ballater but feels quiet and peaceful. The lounge/dining room catches the late afternoon sun and has a view up to the oak woods of Craigendarroch hill. It's quite a small place (the reasonable price reflects this - it's in a 'premium' part of the Highlands) but the quality of the armchair, sofa and dining chairs would put many a grand country hotel to shame and made for a relaxing and memorable stay.
