Couldn't ask for a better location facing the sea. It was fun to watch all the ships coming in and out. You ate every meal with a view with a variety of options. The staff were nice and parking was easy. Walking the sea route was just wonderful. The ferry was very close.

The location of the property is magnificent. Just steps to the beach and the boardwalk. A quick walk into town for a bite to eat or fun shopping. The bedroom is large and the bed is very comfortable. The chalet we stayed in was lovely, hidden away at the bottom of the owners' beautiful garden. The bed was huge and very comfortable. It is located in a good location with a short walk into the town centre. We were able to use a short cut through a gate at the bottom of the garden which was very convenient. Our hosts were a lovely couple, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was first rate quality, with locally sourced sausages cooked to perfection and served fresh on our veranda each morning. It was delicious and one of the best breakfasts we've had anywhere. It was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

Charming and beautifully designed property. The host were etremely communicative and I LOVE that they took the time to create how to videos for literally everything in the home. I have never seen this before in any rental. Maybe one video and some basic instructions but they have gone the extra mile in creating such an extremly user friendly home!.

Cowes is quite busy and noisy, but we expected that. If you want a quiet IOW break, choose one of the resorts on the other side of the island, but for the buzz of the world's yachting capital stick to Cowes. Bus services to all parts of the island are frequent and plentiful.

Cowes is a lovely town and a perfect location for boaters!

Cowes is a lovely town and a perfect location for boaters! The Osborne House is a quick (4 min) ferry ride to East Cowes and accessible buy bus. We had a great food and the people were super helpful as they did not have a tourist information center.

It is a small coastal town nicely located near many tourist...

It is a small coastal town nicely located near many tourist attractions such as Osbourne House, Carisbrooke Castle and Newport town and the Isle of Wight Steam Railway. It is reasonably lengthy to reach however I travelled via public transport, and have to say the bus system is very well connected and covers the whole Island. From Cowes and Newport you get to Ryde, Sandown and Ventnor as well as Yarmouth. The towns aren’t too big so are easily walkable and there are some lovely independent shops and cafes. I particularly enjoyed visiting the Medina Bookshop, and crossing the river from West to East Cowes via the Floating Bridge. All in all, an amazing experience!

Lovely little place, we enjoyed our walks around the area and relaxing and watching the boats etc. Very easy to get to, loads of eateries and pubs. If you like Yachts and boats then you will be in heaven, but even if you dont theres still plenty to keep you occupied. Its also very easy to move around the island from Cowes whether you drive or use the bus service.

Easy to get around on foot.

Easy to get around on foot. Some lovely local produce & traders as well as the usual High St stores all in close proximity. Lots of good local friendly pubs. Osborne House(connection to queen Victoria & Albert) is within walking distance with a 2 minute trip on the floating bridge (£1.50 return ticket)-this is a National Heritage building. Distinctive Royal mail postbox still in use here & if you use it, the postal stamp with reflect the Victoria & Albert connection. You can visit the tearoom & gift shop but need to pay to enter gardens & house.

I know Cowes well because my mother in law lived there so...

I know Cowes well because my mother in law lived there so for many years I regularly visited her and stayed in the town. Since she died I have not visited as often and hadn't been to the Isle of Wight for two years until I stayed this autumn. It was a quick visit, but the shops in Cowes and the waterfront areas and town beaches are always interesting. I wouldn't stay quite as late in the year again as many places shut at the end of October or by early November, and if they're not shut completely they can be quiet and shut early (eg some of the out of town shops). Even the Cowes shops were beginning to wind down about 4pm on the Saturday and there weren't many people about. So do go but the warmer months and early autumn are probably better as there's more going on and there are more options. We ate at Mojac's and the Pier Inn, both excellent places for evening meals. The Pier Inn is also a pub but has a separate dining area. It was nice to go in pubs and for them not to be crowded but they do shut bang on 11pm.

Lovely stay here, the owners Steve and Zoe were so accommodating and was really lovely getting to know them. They have a clear passion for their business and have put so many quality features into this hotel. Our room was simply beautiful, bed was comfortable and bar well stocked! Great location for a visit to Cowes.

Well equipped comfortable room with good sea views. Friendly staff & excellent catering.. We could always park at the hotel & the location next to the promenade & 15 minutes walk from central West Cowes suited us well. The terrace facing the sea was a popular sheltered spot.
