Douglas is a very long Promenade and I chose to stay the furthest end of the Pier to the town centre but having a bus stop outside to take you to the other end was ideal at £1.20 a trip . There are horse trams outside too to take you into Town. The Gaiety Theatre is a must. A walk through the sunken gardens at the Sea Terminal end is not to be missed and the highlight is Summerhill Glen at night with a lovely walk through ..free of charge..and the illuminations through the Glen are Magical.Guest review byAnonymousUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Douglas was very nice, very clean, no litter, very little chewing gum on pavements. The people obviously take great pride in their island and they are very friendly and helpful. The Promenade is a beautiful place to walk.
The Promenade is a beautiful place to walk. We also used the horse drawn tram from one end to the other and on a very wet day, took a taxi to the Isle of Man Museum - a real MUST! Especially while the Archibold Knox exhibition is on. We ran out of time, so I will definitely return to Douglas and the Isle of Man.Guest review byKarenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
