Location was amazing, and well the place is just stunning! Just a stone throw away from Millers Dale which is where we parked for our walk before heading down to Brosterfield. The hut was clean, warm and snug with everything you could ever need! Our dog was also welcome which made our stay even more special as it was our first little break with our pooch. Bed was extremely comfy and TV worked. The hosts kindly filled the hot tub up for us so we only had to hest it up which went well as instructions were clear and simple. The water also stayed warm over night considering the temperature was dropping so was nice to just put a few logs on and heat it up a little more and we were straight in and able to listen to the birds whilst the sky got light.

The room was great. It was comfortable, bigger than we expected, and beautiful. The location was great as well. The staff were really kind and helpful. We had a great time staying at this hotel specially after our hike. Would love to stay there again someday.

Simple but beautifully decorated and very clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Having a fridge is excellent. The staff over the road at Ye olde Cheshire cheese where we got discounted breakfast were also great.

From the moment I booked the team at Merchants Yard went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Nothing was a problem for them, organising flowers as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, booking a table for dinner, offering advice on things to do near by and much much more. On check in the team were brilliant, friendly welcome and a complimentary drink (thank you). Throughout our stay the team were amazing, always happy and made sure we had everything we needed. Great friendly hotel. All the rooms are very well presented and different which I like. My room was spacious clean and bright. Even had Air conditioning which was great. Very quiet at night too. Staff are all very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great as were the evening meals I had too. All in all a great find and would recommend it to everyone.

I couldn't fault our trip - it was simply wonderful from start to finish. We had booked a king room which was amazing, so spacious, clean and modern. Topped off by a beautiful mountain view. The surrounding area had lovely walks with scenery for miles! The Blind Bull staff were all so friendly and welcoming, taking a genuine interest in your stay. There were so many small touches which made the stay feel extra special! The food was exceptional - everything tasted so good so I would definitely recommend booking an evening dinner in the restaurant.

    Lovely cottage and great views. Excellent walking location. One pub in the village (which is brilliant and food really good) but no shops so you definitely need a car. Good location for touring around - Buxton, Bakewell etc.
