Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, gloriously quiet and with treats supplied. Living in the West Country, I’m not a big fan of holiday homes decimating villages so the fact that the owners live upstairs and have only very recently started this venture made it even better. There’s great food to be had at the Kings Arms (influenced by the Thai chef) and a handy village store, both close by. Even better, the footpath opposite takes you to the local Woolacombe Dunes parkrun, less than 2 miles away - which was the entire reason for my trip - and rewards you with stunning views out to Lundy Island. I’d be delighted to stay here again.

Wonderful location. Right next to Croyde beach. Really enjoyed the facilities, there were plenty of games to choose from. Everything we needed was there. It's an ideal spot for families and we were a collection of families and were able to mix very comfortably. I liked that you could easily hire surf gear also, and that the lovely village is walking distance.

Its expensive but worth the price. I'd like to retire and just live in this hotel :D Peaceful location, fantastic views, a short walk to the town. Cannot fault this place. Staff were very nice and efficient as well.

Beautiful tastefully decorated house, located in the heart of Ilfracombe on a very quiet street. Spacious, very clean room, large bathroom. Very tasty breakfast :) The owners are an absolute delight: friendly, charming, professional and helpful. We felt like we've been known them for years. A real home from home experience. Terence and Piper are the best of hosts and made us feel welcome the moment we walked though the front door. The room we stayed in was immaculate and much thought had gone into every detail, right down to the "sleep pack" left on our pillows at night. Piper prepared breakfast each morning which was delightful and plated beautifully. We could go on-deservedly a 5-star establishment.

    Georgeham is a quiet little village about 1.5 miles out of...

    Georgeham is a quiet little village about 1.5 miles out of Croyde, but access is by quite narrow roads, often only suitable for single file traffic. There is a good small shop in the village and 2 good pubs serving excellent food (book well ahead if possible). It's a good base for visiting local beaches, and coastal path walks (Baggy Point is accessible by an easy route or a more challenging cliff climb. There is also an open topped bus from Croyde to Barnstable (or shorter) with excellent coastal views.

    It’s a nice little village with lots of friendly people.

    It’s a nice little village with lots of friendly people. The two pubs in the village are quite different in character, but both offer good quality food and service. However these are both independent pubs rather than being operated by a large chain, so don’t expect any 2 for 1 type of deals. There is also a weekly visit to the village by a mobile fish & chip van (Tuesday 5 -7pm) which does absolutely top notch fish and chips. Be warned though the queue is often quite long, but well worth it! Georgham is nicely situated with Croyde, Saunton & Woolacombe within easy reach and places like Appledore and Lyndon & Lynmouth being around 30 mins or so away. This being N.Devon you have to be prepared for the experience of driving on what are sometimes very narrow country lanes.
