Stay in Old Glossop vs Glossop proper. The whole area, however, very scenic. manor Park nice for a walk, especially on a hot day. Aircraftwreck Superfortress ‘Overexposed’ is 4 mile walk uphill but worth a visit. Pub is in Old Glossop, 10 - 15 mins. walk from Glossop town centre. Old Glossop very quaint in an interesting way. Two other pubs and a lovely park 2 mins. walk from the Queens. Country walks also right on doorstep. Glossop itself a pleasant town with all the amenities one could reasonably require available.
