I stayed here as I was on a course at the Fleet Air Arm...

I stayed here as I was on a course at the Fleet Air Arm Museum. Which is just up the road, so tis is the best place to stay in the area. There is a small triangle town with a restaurant and couple of pubs. Nice bit of history there as well.

Pretty little town, with ancient origins, good footpaths and a couple of super pubs. There is also an excellent Italian restaurant. Make sure that you visit the Florist too, alongside the flowers she sells an eclectic mix of old and new - with a high standard of service.

Gorgeous little village - we stayed there because we'd...

Gorgeous little village - we stayed there because we'd visited the Haynes Car Museum and had been go-karting during the day. It really was a perfect place to stay, nice large room, comfy beds, very clean, nice bar and incredible breakfast. We headed next door to the Italian for dinner which was equally as lovely and then headed off to Lyme Regis the following morning.

Very friendly helpful staff. Although the hotel was busy nothing was too much trouble. We had an excellent breakfast on two days and a superb evening meal on the Saturday. Again they fitted our relatrelatives in for the meal without any problem. The hotel is an old building but rooms were warm and comfortable.

I have visited the Ilchester Arms many times as it is convenient for my needs and has a homely atmosphere. Whilst the rooms are smaller than, say, Travel Lodge, for a two day stay I don't need much room. Food is excellent, staff are well trained and pleasant and attentive to needs.

The hotel is clearly kept up to standard regardless of the day of the week or time of the year. I have stayed over in Yeovil for work a number of times in a different hotels and this was by far the most friendly, the most comfortable and the best value for money.
