Lots of places to visit close by.
Lots of places to visit close by. The Maritime Museum and Submarine Museum are excellent and an explorer ticket gives a years access to 4 museums and a harbour boat ride. I found an excellent tea room and a lovely baby clothes and toy shop in the town. I am a sea swimmer and there were several groups that welcomed me to swim with them. Fantastic location at any time of the year. Local shopping high street.parki g can be an issue as it's pay metered. Plenty of cafes, restaurants, pubs. I actually went back to Lee to remember my holidays as a child pre and post war. Lee is a find place to relax - not much to offer in terms of amusements but a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the sea front and scenery of the IOW. We only stayed one night as we were attending a function but the area where the guest house was, was quiet and near to the beach area. Seemed to be popular with dog walkers in the morning. The sunsets are fabulous and can be watched from the room. We know Lee very well, but for first timers to the area, there are views directly to the Isle of Wight.
