The Dog & Bear was very comfortable.
The Dog & Bear was very comfortable. Great to have a bath with really hot water after a hard day walking the Pilgrims Way. Food was just what we needed, well cooked, filling and tasty. A lovely, very quaint village with friendly local people.
A lovely, very quaint village with friendly local people. Next time I stay, I will hopefully take in a stroll, the weather wasn't great, for the short time we were there. I can imagine during the Spring and Summer months, how beautiful the village square would be.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Incredible walks through fields just past the medieval...
Incredible walks through fields just past the medieval church. I went to the local shop to buy some dog food and they let the dog in. I chatted to locals and visited some more of the shops all dog friendly. The village is beautiful and has a range of pubs and restaurants which I didn’t get chance to use. It was a really nice place to stay for a night. I would have like to have stayed longer. To top it off I heard a nightingale on my walk. I’ll definitely be back. We attended the Chilston Park Hotel for my wedding stay and the staff couldn't do more for us.
