The hotel prepared our room before we arrived and gave us a quiet room that we could see a beautiful sunset. The breakfast was also full of choices, and we could ask for what we would like to eat, and they tasted very nice. The location is close to the beach, train station and bus stop, making it convenient to travel. They helped to store our luggage on the last day. In general, it was a nice experience and highly recommended :)

The location is excellent. The gentleman working the front desk was so very nice. Explained the parking options, areas of interest. The hotel was still under construction but it was not a bother at all. Will return again someday. Would love to see it when construction is complete

The room was perfect, located in a charming historical building with plenty of personal touches. It was clean, and the curtained bed added a fun element. There was a tea maker in the room as well, providing everything one might need. The breakfast was also excellent, with gluten-free options available.

The location was beach front and very handy to local shops, restaurants, and the pier. The check-in was quick and efficient. Dinner reservations could be made at the hotel, and a complimentary cooked breakfast was welcomed in the morning. Our room was a modest and most comfortable size and surprisingly quiet as Room 201 was by the lift, and there was no notable noise.

FAQs about hotels in Llandudno

Victorian Resort with a Welsh Twist

The most popular Wales seaside resort, Llandudno covers a peninsula with 2 sandy coastlines. The North Shore’s wide Victorian promenade is lined with period buildings which now house seafront hotels and guest houses. The beach itself stretches all the way between the Little Orme and Great Orme headlands, passing an outdoor swimming pool.

A historic tram climbs to the peak of Great Orme, where Bronze Age copper mines can be visited. The top is also reachable by cable car from Happy Valley, a recreation area with gardens and an artificial ski slope.

A road runs around the base of the headland passing the historic Grand Hotel, a property available on Booking.com and overlooking the Grade II-listed pier – the longest in Wales. The West Shore is much less developed and the Maesdu Golf Course forms most of its shoreline.

Of course, Llandudno has its fair share of traditional seaside pursuits such as donkey rides and fish and chip shops.

The town also has a modern retail park near the train station and Venue Cymru event centre, and wrought-iron canopies shade smaller shops along Mostyn Avenue, Broadway and Street. The latter - Mostyn Street - is effectively the high street and becomes brightly decorated during the Victorian carnival in May.

So much to do for all ages.

So much to do for all ages. The ski centre, the tram up the great orme. The best high street we've seen in years, could have spent a full day just walking that. Interesting pubs, axe throwing and magic to name a couple. Some fabulous food places. But best of all never once feeling ripped off, prices were within reach. Cottage loaf great gastro pub. Try the local hotel bars which are open to the public, great drinks offers.

Llandudno is an elegant resort that is as a pleasure to visit. We particularly enjoyed the Welsh National Opera at Venue Cymru, the Penderyn Distillery tour, strolling along the promenade and the variety of shops in the town centre.

We had a lovely stroll along the front and on the pier. There were quite a few people but not so busy you couldn’t appreciate the surroundings. We eat at The Cottage Loaf twice, I fully recommend it there. A great menu, all cooked to perfection and good value for your money. We wanted to find a bar with some music on in the evening and we did. The Irish bar and The town house were both good. I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, there’s lots of things to do and good shopping.

Llandudno is a lovely, traditional Victorian seaside resort, complete with original pier. It is easy to get around the town on foot, with many shopping arcades to suit all tastes. There are various museums and art galleries, plus the Venue Cymru theatre. You can go up the Great Orme by Tram or Cable Car [weather permitting!], where you will find the Copper Mines, Ski-Slope, Toboggan-ride and Crazy Golf. There are also various bus tours available, including the Hop-on, Hop-off bus, and also a little train which takes you around Marine Drive. Our favourite restaurant [of which there are many] was La Taverna Italian Restaurant.

Plenty of things/activities to do, lots of choice of food eating places and agood variety of shops. Loved the promenade to walk on and being next to the sea. Attractive sea front and bay. Wildwood Italian restaurant was excellent. Really enjoyed theTram ride up and down the Orme and little train journey round the Orme. Previously have gone on the City bus tour around Llandudno which was great. We found the WW2 museum fascinating and very interesting.

Leisurely walks on the promenade and the pier. Night out on Saturday night to the restaurant and pubs. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the Grand Hotel. For £69 we had a room with sea view and balcony. Everything was in working order, the room was clean, the staff was very nice.
