The greeting was so kind and warm right as I arrived to the White Rabbit. The young man at the front desk was so welcoming, and offered to check me into my room even though I arrived a few hours early. I enjoyed a few meals at the restaurant downstairs. They are so considerate of food allergies. The sauvigon blanc and toastie was delish. The nearby park off Southampton and Beaulieu just off the main town drag was one of the most beautiful views and horses are everywhere. I also saw cows in the distance. It's a very picturesque place. If you want to go to any neighboring towns, I highly recommend getting a car bc even though Brockenhurst and other towns are a few short miles away, it's not walkable, and Ubers don't frequent that area much. Overall, an excellent stay!!!

Beautiful grounds, hotel and destination. Very peaceful and incredible food. The staff were outstanding and were extremely helpful. The cucumber water upon arrival was definitely refreshing after a long drive. The fried breakfast was amazing! Perfectly cooked and delicious. We enjoyed a morning swim in the pool which had a very Spanish/Greek feel to the surrounding area. The pool was at a perfect temperature and the chairs were handy for getting our son ready. I would definitely recommend it. Beautiful architecture for any age to appreciate, very family friendly and also very romantic for couples.

The breakfast options were plentiful and the food was excellent. There were local beers on tap. The menu is a gastro pub menu and the food was outstanding. Just be aware that the rooms are above a pub, so you will hear the “locals” enjoying a pint! It was, however, quiet by 11:00 or earlier. Manager, Rob, was most accommodating as were Hannah, Alicia, Verity and Kyle. We also enjoyed chatting with the housekeeper, Violette. The New Forest Inn was located near trail heads into the New Forest. Downtown Lyndhurst is a one mile walk and has many shops, food establishments and The New Forest Heritage Museum.

Lyndhurst is mainly a one high street town.

Lyndhurst is mainly a one high street town. The traffic is continuous making it difficult to navigate on foot. I wouldn't recommend it as a destination. But The New Forest is spectacular however car drivers need to obey the rules of the Forest when parking and only use the many car parks.

Never got a chance to see the town of Lyndhurst and surrounding area We drove down from Warwickshire and it was just a stopgap and unpleasant rest place where we stayed, before we caught the ferry from Lymington to the isle of Wight. So sorry I cannot comment on the surrounding area.

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough!

We cannot recommend Lyndhurst House enough! It is such a beautiful house with charming and unique rooms. It felt very homely, and our hosts, Alison and Nick, were incredibly kind and helpful, recommending great places to eat and even suggesting a route for one of our days. The breakfast was delicious and very filling - definitely worth it! We enjoyed freshly cooked dishes, as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt, and the usual coffee and tea. We stayed on the upper floor and had the best night’s sleep, as it was very quiet there. Everything was spotless. A wonderful stay and a real gem - we will definitely be back!

Lovely little town with great antique shops, quirky cafes and great pubs. Worth a visit as very central to the New Forest. Traffic goes directly through so a nightmare crossing roads etc. Seemed quite dangerous as always busy. Also traffic noise. Didn't put us off though!!

Spent a perfect couple of nights with a friend at the Forest Lodge over the Bank Holiday weekend. Hotel ideally located, short walk into Lyndhurst. We had a good twin room at the front overlooking the common with horses grazing. Beds were extremely comfortable and shower was powerful. Great to have the pool. Staff were amazing. So friendly..particularly the reception staff...who couldn't have been more helpful. Just one thing I would say bathroom accessories and tea tray items were lacking.

I had a nice comfortable warm room with a comfortable bed much needed as I needed to have a rest after a busy day watching Reading FC lose to Eastleigh in the FACup and I felt revived the next morning and had a trip to the coast and had a walk by the sea. The breakfast was served very quickly and you could help yourself to coffee. I liked the decorations and pictures in the hotel. The hotel is a short walk from the center of Lyndhurst.

This was our second visit to the Crown Manor and we weren't disappointed. Our room was very comfortable and whilst not over large, was well decorated and furnished and very cosy and warm for a winter stay. Bathroom has been upgraded and was stylish. Great breakfast - plenty of choice. Good location for strolling into Lyndhurst with a good range of restaurants, cafes and pubs. Also easy parking at the hotel. Will definitely visit again.
